About the project
In our project "InSel," we are currently developing a training for teachers to help them better recognize symptoms of anxiety and depression among you, the students, and provide better assistance.
Some students may not know where or how to seek help when they experience such symptoms. That's why it's important for your caregivers, including teachers, to notice if any of you are not feeling well. Recognizing these symptoms is essential in order to provide help as soon as possible.
To conduct our project, we visited your class to learn more about your emotions and experiences, as you are the best experts on your own feelings. Additionally, we aimed to understand how teachers judge students' emotions and thoughts. Therefore, a key aim of our study was to determine the extent to which teachers' judgements, children's self-assessments and parents' judgements contribute to the identification of internalizing symptoms. We also examined what factors, such as school or class size, influenced teachers' judgments.
We greatly appreciate your participation and support in helping us to gain these valuable insights.
